Heartland Bash

Gonna start by saying DAMN!!! what a weekend! The heartland bash is a biker rally just northeast of Edmonton bout an hour. There were a few other bands that were there, Silo, FTGU, The Mudmen plus a few others but the ones that were suppose to play Sunday were cancelled due to a really bad storm. There was fireworks, fat franks, a huge bonfire with flames reaching around thirty feet Sascha cut a car in half and drove it around, pure comedy!
So Friday night didn’t look like we were gonna play because the guy that was suppose to bring all the sound equip. couldn’t make it, We all started drinking! Later this guy they call “Fort” shows up with the gear, gets set up and before ya know it we’re on stage… just about black-out drunk! lol! That was Friday – really dont know how we sounded, but we were told we looked good!
Saturday we decided it would be better to play earlier that 11pm so we took the stage around 8? Just as the sun was going down, not being as drunk as the night before we managed to rip it up! We opened up by backing up our friend Brit Gelmici for four songs then we played about fifty minutes of tunes, also bringing Jen on stage who was the Birthday Girl to sing a few songs with us.
All in all, it was an awesome weekend, would like to thank Vicki and Joe and everybody else involved with the bash. Cheers to the Heartland Bash!!!
