Rendevous Pub #2

Aside from not being able to hear yourself properly on stage, it’s always a blast to perform at the Rendevouzs Pub! We opened for B.C.’s Burning Borders, they kind of remind me of Three Days Grace or Theory of a Dead Man… actually totally remind me! We performed a new song currently titled ‘Click Click Bang Bang’.

Half way through the show Trev had to take a bathroom break…boo! He got a little drunk…really drunk and began to trash his gear including the floor monitor that belongs to the bar. During the last song of the set, Trev took off his bass and threw it at his amp and ran off stage…a great way to end his career with us…Thanks for the embarrassment!

We apologized to the sound guy and the management, Trev’s actions are not the Empire’s fault, we do not condone such B.S., nor does he speak on behalf of the band. Stu and I finished the set w/o Trev and that was that! Of all the bars/pubs to be kicked out of and banned from, I feel bad that Trev isn’t welcome at that pub anymore!

Wooly Bully’s

Boooooooooo!!! That’s all I got to say about Wooly Bully’s Pub…they can suck it! They ask us to come and play there, we get Jezibelle (all girl band who rocks!) to open for us, invite a whole bunch of people just to be shunned by the bar staff giving priority to the bar star d.j. who was talking over the music while the bands were performing, that might fly at the strip clup where the d.j. also worked but not during a band’s set, not to mention they tried cutting us off early to play dance music, the d.j. told me that everybody at the bar would rather hear dance music…no! All the people there came to see two rock bands, not listen to your crap! Oh well! lesson learned! Not to mention the shitty sound the bar had, they are not set up to have live performances, never again will I play there or have anything to do with that crappy bar!

Many thanks goes out to Joe for all his help and Jezibelle for rippin’ it up !!!!

Raising for Dogs

So our first show back in Alberta was in the small town of Legal, which is about 30 mins north of Edmonton. The show was a fundraiser for a local dog shelter so it was all for a good cause! The venue was Mic’s pub, a cozy little place with great ambience. Aside from the lack of sound on stage, everyone said it was great, a big thanks to all those who drove the distance to be there for us and in support of the dog shelter!
